I’m co-director „companies & politics“ with Handelszeitung, Switzerland’s leading business weekly. I’m managing a team of six business editors who are covering highly regulated industries and sectors like banking, insurance, utilities und telcos.
For now more than ten years I’ve been working as a business journalist. Prior to Handelszeitung I was working as deputy head of business section at Die Nordwestschweiz – one of Switzerland’s largest daily newspaper.
I hold a Master in Business Administration from Zurich University of Applied Sciences and a M.A. in Literature and Media sciences from University of Basel. I’ve also taken Seminars for Business Journalist at Wharton Business School in Philadelphia.
I’ve received a postgraduate certificate of advanced studies in Business Communication and Management from University of St. Gallen.
Recently I’ve attended a course in data journalism/data science which involved following topics: Python, Unix Command Line, Github, Scraper-Libraries, BeautifulSoup, Pandas, Selenium, matplotlib, Regular Expressions, Stackoverflow, Natural Language Processing
I’m a native (Swiss) German speaker, fluent in English and French. I’m living and working in Zurich, Switzerland.
